SHARE ADVERTISING FIRM CLOSES PART OF OPERATION

Dahlin Smith White Advertising, specializing in advertising for high-technology companies, has closed the direct marketing and public relations portions of the company.

Jennifer J. Johnson, an account supervisor with DSW Public Relations, who is now the director of public relations for Penna Powers Cutting & Haynes, said DSW Public Relations was profitable in 1988 and 1989 so the closing wasn't based upon finances.Originally the owners desired to be a well-rounded advertising, marketing and public relations firm. However, when the advertising portion showed a higher growth pattern than the other two sections it was decided to close them.

One of the victims of the closing was David Politis, who has formed his own public relations company and has picked up Apple Computer, two divisions of GTE, Sun Remarketing and a Salt Lake law firm as clients.
