David Letterman helped convict a woman who broke into his home after she was released from prison for one of five earlier break-ins there. The comedian told Superior Court Judge Lawrence L. Hauser on Monday in Norwalk, Conn., that he saw Margaret Ray's silhouette in the hallway of his New Canaan home early March 19th. "That's when I first became aware of her on this planet," Letterman testified. Hauser found Ray, 37, guilty and ordered her to Niantic State Prison to serve a one-year term.
