Is the all-American family meal pattern changing, getting faster, costing more and providing less? Americans want it fast, on the move and with little effort on the part of the cook. Fast foods and convenience meals cost, but it's a cost many Americans willingly trade for freedom of more time. High cost and/or lengthy preparation time can be eased.

Solution? Homemade convenience! Mixes, meals, preparation and more that will allow freedom from the kitchen without strapping the wallet. USU Extension Service presents, "Homemade Convenience."The class will feature quicker meal preparation, faster foods, homemade mixes, and all at traditional scratch cooking prices. Free to the public, Tuesday, May 8, noon, at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 S. State St., Room S1007-S1008.
