Tom Selleck, long-time star of "Magnum, P.I.," will returns to Hawaii to make a pilot for the NBC-TV series "Heat" . . . Kathleen Turner, star of a Broadway production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," has agreed to play the role in an ABC-TV movie due to start production in the fall . . . Mickey Rooney has signed to star in a half-hour weekly "Adventures of the Black Stallion" series on cable TV's Family Channel . . . Robert Downey Jr., Eric Idle and Andrea Martin have wrapped up production on "Too Much Sun," a black comedy set for fall release . . .
