TECHNIQUES OF DUTCH OVEN WILL BE TAUGHT

SHARE TECHNIQUES OF DUTCH OVEN WILL BE TAUGHT

Basic Dutch oven cooking will be taught Tuesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 16, from 6-9 p.m. at the Wheeler Historic Farm. Cost of each class is $20, which includes information on building fires, seasoning and marking ovens, and easy recipes to prepare and sample.

Advanced instruction will be offered in two categories, breads, desserts and stews on Thursday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 22, and vegetables and meats on Wednesday, May 23, and Thursday, May 24. To register for the advanced classes, students should demonstrate a basic knowledge of Dutch oven cooking. Recipes, ingredients and charcoal will be furnished.
