A Salt Lake transient remained in critical condition Thursday at LDS Hospital following a stabbing Tuesday night.

Michael Steve Miller, 31, last known address, Plano, Texas, was found by a Salt Lake City officer investigating a theft case in Pioneer Park.Miller was found lying on the east edge of the basketball court with four stab wounds to the chest, stomach and neck.

The police report indicates that $100 may have been stolen from him. He was conscious but extremely confused when police found him surrounded by papers, beer cans, a wallet and boots.

Police are following leads about three possible suspects.
