Pleasant Tap, third-place finisher in the Kentucky Derby, was scratched from Saturday's Preakness Stakes Thursday morning after developing a leg injury. The injury, a strained tendon in his left front leg, was discovered by trainer Chris Speckert.

Once beaten Champagneforashley will also scratch after injuring his right front leg in the sesamoid area when he kicked himself during a gallop Thursday morning.
