An unlucky customer, who happened to be in a fast-food restaurant during an armed robbery, had more money stolen than the restaurant itself did.

According to a Salt Lake City Police report, a man wearing a blue hat, blue shirt and blue pants entered the restaurant at 306 N. 300 West, about 10:45 a.m., Wednesday.He walked to the counter, displayed a black handgun and said to the clerk, "Give me the money." The clerk thought he was joking. "I'm not joking. Give me all the money," he repeated. He then set the gun on the counter, reached over and grabbed money from the till.

A man holding about $10 in his hand was standing nearby waiting to pay for his meal. The gunman turned to him and demanded his money. The man gave him the $10 plus the money in his wallet. According to the police report, the restaurant lost about $45, while the customer lost $110.
