The Highland High rugby team won three games Saturday to claim its third straight national high school championship. Highland outscored its opponents 91-6, taking Cincinnati Northbend 28-0, followed by wins over Seattle Liberty (32-6) and San Antonio Alamo (31-0).

The tournament featured the eight best prep rugby teams in the nation. Highland is the only team in the nation to qualify for the tournament in each of the six years the tourney has existed. In addition to the last three titles, Highland won in 1986 and finished second in 1985 and 1987.
