The Boston Ballet lowers the curtain Sunday on its historic Soviet-American production of "Swan Lake," a new version of a ballet classic offering intrigue and pleasant surprises for audiences and dancers alike.
This "glasnost" version of the beloved classic Russian ballet drew rave reviews from critics and dance aficionados."Sixty-thousand people will have seen this ballet in 18 performances, that's mind-boggling to me," artistic director Bruce Marks said Saturday. "I never expected to have sold every ticket in the house this week."
