Stackable wire baskets bring order out of laundry-day chaos, writes Chris Koban.
She stacks three white wire baskets where she used to keep the laundry hamper. The bottom basket is for delicate clothes requiring special handling and clothes that go to the dry cleaners; the middle, for dark clothes; the top, for whites."This way I can grab a full basket and take it to the laundry room without having to stop and sort before I wash. I fold my clothes right back into the basket after drying and carry them to each bedroom to be put away."
Teresa Golden says she's trained her family to sort laundry as they go. With two laundry baskets, one for whites and one for darks, there's no time wasted "sorting on the kitchen floor," she writes.
