Joseph Robert Howell, 74 passed away May 16, 1990.
Born October 5, 1915 to William Maughan and Lettie Baker Howell. Married Hazel Hammond April 5, 1941. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Attended U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the University of California at Berkley where he was a member of Sigma Chi. Received a BS degree in management and a Jurist Doctor degree from the U of U. Served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Practicing attorney and member of Utah State Bar until 1980.Survived by wife, 4 children: Kathy Rutherford, Ginny Shields, Joseph Howell Jr., Becky Richardson and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday May 22 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Drive whereviewings will be held Monday evening 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
