Nicolae Ceausescu's oldest son, Valentin, 43, slips his ballot into a ballot box in a Bucharest police station specially set up for the children of the late Romanian dictator. Imprisoned but not yet convicted, Ceausescu's two sons and daughter were not handcuffed when they appeared to cast their ballots in Sunday's elections, the first free vote in Romania in 53 years. The young Ceausescus were allowed to vote "as they are still not sentenced and stripped of political and civil rights," according to an official. They are awaiting trial on charges of complicity in their father's rule. If convicted, they face sentences of up to life in prison.
