A tornado tore through two trailer parks on the edge of town, injuring at least 11 people, including two children critically, authorities said.

A 3-year-old boy and his 6-month-old brother were found in the rubble of a trailer home and were taken to a hospital, said Rogersville Police Chief Mike Crider.About a half dozen mobile homes were reported damaged or destroyed at one trailer park and nine at another. Authorities had to contain leaks from the propane lines and tanks that served homes in one of the parks.

"I had just lain down, and suddenly there was no warning or anything, just a loud boom," Donna Manning said. "A tree went through my 14-year-old son's bedroom window and a limb went into the hallway."

She said her son was not in the bedroom at the time.

Crider said damage would exceed $2 million. Five businesses were destroyed or heavily damaged.
