A man sought for questioning in a reported sexual attack threatened suicide as he sat in his car Monday, holding lawmen at bay for nearly three hours until he was persuaded to surrender.
The 24-year-old man was booked into the Cache County Jail in Logan about 9 a.m. for investigation of aggravated kidnapping and forcible sexual abuse, said Sheriff Sid Groll.He said the incident began Sunday at about 10:15 p.m., when a man forced a 17-year-old girl into a pickup truck at gunpoint as she walked home from a church function.

The girl was taken to a residence, kept there for about two hours and then dropped off at another location, Groll said. She walked home and told her parents, who notified authorities, he said.
