Elizabeth Taylor has made "significant" progress in her recovery from viral and bacterial pneumonias and other ailments, her spokeswoman said Tuesday.

"Her improvement, based on (a doctor's examination) is significant. It is quite good," Taylor's spokeswoman said.She said Taylor's physician, Michael Roth, "is encouraged by her progress. He saw her (Monday) night and said her spirits are very good. She is still listed as stable and doing better." But she added that Taylor would remain hospitalized three to four more weeks.
