Volunteers and host families are still needed for the Utah Special Olympics, which will have its opening ceremonies for its 20th anniversary at Brigham Young University's Haws Field Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m.

The festivities are free to the public and include a parade of athletes, fireworks and celebrities. A few of the celebrities include Wilford Brimley, Missy Marlow and Steve Young. The Chauntenettes, the Kruger Family Bluegrass Band and the Utah Performing Arts will perform.Spectators are welcome during the three-day event. For more information, call 378-2390.
