An Arkansas killer who boasted about his treatment at the Utah State Prison has been sent back to his home state to finish his sentence.

Arthur G. Littell, 27, became the focus of a campaign by his victim's mother to have him returned to Arkansas after he had bragged about the easier conditions in Utah. Arkansas officials agreed to return him to his home state after Gerri Kisner asked Gov. Bill Clinton to intervene on her behalf.Littell slashed his wrist after learning he would be returned to Arkansas. Utah prison officials said the wound was not life-threatening and did not affect his return to Arkansas.

Utah prison officials said that Littell boarded a plane Tuesday. David White, spokesman for the Arkansas prison system, said a prisoner-transport service was bringing Littell back to the state, and he was expected in Arkansas on Friday.

Littell was 15 when he shot Kenny Kisner, 22, in the back of the head five times in 1978. He was sentenced as a youth offender to 50 years in prison, and in August 1988 he was transferred to Utah to be near his mother.
