Yin Ping Zhang put her life on the line because she wanted to be free. This week, she received her freedom as she was granted asylum in the United States. Zhang was one of the leaders in last year's Chinese student revolution at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. She was picked up and questioned by police three times before miraculously getting a passport mistakenly issued by an inexperienced clerk. She then managed to board a plane to the United States on Aug. 14.
