Two men were in improved condition and another remained stable a day after their helicopter crashed in San Juan County, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 2 p.m. Wednesday near the LaSal Junction of U-191 22 miles south of Moab.David Green, 45, of Moab and David McDonald, 31, of Salt Lake City were both upgraded from critical to fair condition at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., a nursing supervisor said.
The pilot, who instructed medical personnel to withhold his name, has been transfered in stable condition from Allen Memorial Hospital in Moab to a Salt Lake hospital, a nursing supervisor said. The San Juan County sheriff's office also refused to release the pilot's name.
The incident is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
