Karl Snow, Republican candidate in the 3rd Congressional District, meets with Melissa Francis' fourth-graders to explain the purpose of having caucuses (mass meetings) and the process of selecting candidates at county and state conventions. He had decided to make amends with the class after hearing about how Republicans left the classroom in a mess following the April 30 caucus. After explaining the caucus process, he presented Francis with two autographed books on state capitals and American government.
