Five members of the Provo High School speech and debate team will compete in national championship speech tournaments in June.
Steve Smith and David Jueschke, both seniors, will compete in the Student Congress Speech competition of the 1990 National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament in Chicago. Smith and Jueschke finished second and third, respectively, in the state qualifying tournament.Audra Patzke and Maure Smith, who placed fourth in state competitions, also will travel to Chicago. Patzke will compete in extemporaneous speaking; Smith will compete in dramatic interpretation of literature.
Andy Hamilton, a junior, was second in the Utah Sundance District National Forensic League Tournament and will compete in the National Forensic League Championship Tournament in San Jose, Calif.
