A second look "behind the scenes" to see what makes the Jensen Living Historical Farm tick will be offered farm visitors Saturday, May 26.
The event is part of a series set aside as "Behind the Scenes Day At The Farm," according to project coordinator Jerrie Clarke. The event is funded by the Utah Endowment for the Humanities. The farm is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the public is admitted free of charge, Clarke pointed out.
"Many visitors ask about the artifacts at the farm," Clarke said.
"They want to know about restoration, why some things are used and some are not.
This event was organized as the result of these visitor questions."
Visitors can see recently remodeled storage areas where artifacts are kept, Clarke said. Restoration work on certain items will be in progress and workers plan to demonstrate the use of other items.
"These artifacts are important in telling the story of farming in 1917," she said. "Each item helps us show what life was like on the farm."
The farm is six miles southwest of Logan on U.S. 89-91. The site is operated by Utah State University as a laboratory for students in outdoor museum studies and living history.
