Herbert William Biesinger, age 93, born May 13, 1897, to Thomas and Louisa Markmann Biesinger, Salt Lake City, Utah. Died of causes incident to age, May 24, 1990.
Married July 1, 1925, to Margaret Taylor, Salt Lake LDS Temple, who preceded him in death. They were the parents of ten children, seven sons, H. Taylor, Wm. Val, Thomas (deceased), Ralph A., Philip, Alma J., Clyde L. Biesinger; three daughters, Mrs. Gunn (Donna) McKay, Mrs. Jay R. (Gayle) Fawson, and Mrs. John (Margaret) Killam, 58 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister, Mrs. Lindsay K. (Naomi) Thomas, Oakton, VA.Spent his life as a building contractor. Served U.S. Signal Corp., Ft. Lewis, Washington, 1918-19. Served LDS mission to the Southern States 1922-25, stayed one extra year to build the mission home. Bishop of the Spring Glen Ward; High Council, Grant Stake; Home Teacher to the Utah State Prison; LDS mission to the Canberra Australia Mission with wife, 1969-71 as Branch President of the Wagga Wagga Branch.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 12 Noon, Wandamere Ward, 601 East Mansfield Avenue (3115 South). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Monday, 7-9 pm, and at the Ward, Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
In business he took not what the inflationary world would allow, but only that to which he considered himself entitled. He indeed laid up for himself treasures in heaven and not on earth.
