A Salt Lake youth was seriously injured while rollerblading Friday afternoon.

According to Salt Lake City police, Patrick Fowles, 25, 2160 Texas St., was pulling out of Little Caesar's Pizza, 2307 E. 2100 South, just after 5 p.m. when a 15-year-old boy on rollerblades grabbed onto the driver's door of the vehicle. Fowles continued east up 2100 South to about 2500 East with the boy in tow.Sgt. Scott Folsom said at this point the youth evidently decided to let go of the car, which was traveling about 35 mph. He flipped in the air and hit the pavement, head first.

The victim was taken to Primary Children's Hospital where he was in serious but stable condition. His name is not being released until his parents are notified.
