Sterrett Neale, Salem, has been selected to serve as interim inister for the Orem Community Church, beginning June 1.

The announcement was made by administrator Gretchen Freeman and Search Committee chairman John Tingley for the Orem Community Church, United Church of Christ. Neale will fill the vacancy that was made when Rev. Shawn Van Dyke moved to Pennsylvania.Neale has been a Lay Speaker for Shared Ministry in Utah for the past nine years, serving pulpits from Ogden to Richfield. In 1986-87 he was Program Consultant for Shared Ministry in Utah.

He is a former owner of radio stations KONI and KTMP in Spanish Fork and is a past president of the Utah Broadcasters Association and director of the National Radio Broadcasters. He is a graduate of Marshall University in West Virginia and Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
