Auditions have been scheduled this week for the following productions:
- "TREASURE ISLAND," a musical melodrama being produced by Desert Star Theatrics. Auditions on Tuesday, May 29, at 6 p.m., at the Desert Star Playhouse, 4861 S. State St., Murray (use the rear entrance).Men and women are needed to fill paid positions in the cast for the show, being directed by Mary Parker Williams.
Auditioners should be prepared to dance. Bring a prepared musical selection. An accompanist will be provided (no taped music, please). A photograph and resume also are required.
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin June 19, with the production opening on Saturday, July 21, and continuing through Sept. 15.

- "GREATER TUNA," a Park City Performances production scheduled to run for 14 performances this summer at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City.
PCP Artistic Director Rafael Colon Castanera said two men are required for the comedy. The actors must be able to perform 20 roles between them. The show will be directed by Brent Mugas.
It will open July 13 and will play in repertory with "Dames at Sea." The two shows will be presented on alternating weekends, with "Dames" closing on Sept. 1 and "Greater Tuna" ending on Sept. 8.
- "THE MORMON MIRACLE PAGEANT," auditions are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2, at 7 p.m. in the Manti LDS Seminary building, Second West and Fifth North, Manti.
Director Ronald D. Hall said roles are open for Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith, Lucy Mack Smith and a number of secondary roles as pioneers, preachers, scriptural characters, angels, dancers and others.
The pageant will be presented the evenings of July 12-14 and 17-21 on the south side of Manti Temple hill.
