Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maurine Elva Jackson, 71, died May 26, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
Born May 19, 1919 in Fountain Green, Utah to Neil A. and Anna Elva Jensen Syndergaard. She married Curtis E. Jackson on August19, 1938 in Farmington, Utah. She was employed at the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in Idaho from 1943-1949; Wapato Indian Irrigation Project on the Yakima Indian Reservation in Washington, 1949-1950; Navajo Indian Office in Gallup, New Mexico, 1950-1952 and at the Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City from 1952-1973. Member of the LDS Church and a member of the League of Women's Voters.She is survived by her husband, Curtis, daughter, Marcia J.Galli, Layton and son, Curtis E. Jackson, Jr., Fruit Heights,Utah; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters and one brother. Preceded in death by 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 PM., May 30,1990 in the Centerville 2nd Ward Chapel, 50 East 1475 North. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Entombment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Everlasting Garden.
