The best of the 1990 Ann Arbor Film Festival will be screened in two programs on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, by the Utah Media Arts Center. The screenings will be held in the Salt Lake Art Center auditorium, 20 S. West Temple, at 8 each night. Admission is $4 for one evening or $7 for both.
The short films were selected from 300 festival entries and include the winner of the Best of Festival Award, "Piece Touchee," by Martin Arnold of San Francisco; "You Take Care Now," by Anne Marie Fleming, winner of the Most Promising Filmmaker Award; and Best Animation winner "Geologic Time," by Skip Battaglia.Of the 300 entries, some 75 were screened over five days in Ann Arbor, Maine, including "Portrait of a Girl With Flowers," by Salt Lake filmmaker Sharon Ashcraft.
