Cyndy Cannell, principal of Webster Elementary School in Granite District, has been chosen winner of the Phoebe Apperson Herst PTA Award for being International Administrator of the Year.
She will be honored June 24 during the national PTA convention, to be held in Indianapolis, Ind. Both she and her school will receive $2,500 to be used for any purpose they choose.Cannell was selected from among 655 nominees from all over the United States and several foreign countries. She was nominated by the Webster PTA, which is headed by Susan Turpin.
"We feel that Cyndy Cannell is an excellent and fun administrator. She has pulled the school together and helped to unify the entire community," said Turpin. "She has instilled pride in all of us. We are proud of her."
