Joseph (Joe) Victor Steedman, age 85, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather died May 29, 1990 in a Salt Lake hospital.
He was born May 24, 1905 in Mammoth, Utah to Andrew and Eliza Muir Strang Steedman. On March 27, 1933 he married Rhea Berniece Towers in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 27, 1939. Joe was a High Priest in the LDS Church and had served in several Sunday School Presidencies. A former employee of Salt Lake County, Joe loved to work in his garden and was greatly loved by his grandchildren and great grandchildren and returned their affection.
Survivors: wife, Rhea, Bluffdale; children, Guy Steedman and wife, JoDeen, Ogden; Mrs. Wally (Joan) Neilson, Bluffdale; Mrs. Harold (Kaye) Markel, Midvale; Mrs. Erick (Vicki Jo) Gillen, Delta; Kent Steedman and wife, Brenda, West Jordan; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Luticia Steedman and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 1990 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bluffdale 2nd LDS Ward Chapel 14400 South 1700 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Bluffdale Cemetery.
