Susan Giannettino, deputy forest supervisor of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, has now been appointed forest supervisor. The appointment takes effect May 21 and fills the vacancy created by Dale Bosworth's recent promotion to the Forest Service Office in Washington, D.C., as deputy director of timber management.

Giannettino, a native of Albuquerque who holds a master's degree in anthropology, began working for the U.S. Forest Service in 1974 as a seasonal employee. Other assignments have included planning staff officer on the Beaverhead National Forest, district ranger of the Nine Mile District on the Lolo National Forest and recreation strategy coordinator for the Northern Region, all three positions in Montana.She also spent two years with the Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service of the Department of Interior.
