SHARE OGDEN’S BLAIR TAKES EASY WIN AT SPANISH OAKS

Jimmy Blair fired a second-round 66 and cruised to a comfortable 5-shot victory Sunday at the Spanish Oaks Open at Spanish Oaks Golf Course.

Blair, the head pro and owner of Mulligans Golf Course in Ogden, pocketed $1,500 with the win. Murray Parkway assistant Chris Jones was second at 140. First-round leader Lynn Landgren of Forest Dale, struggled to a 74 after his first-day 67 and tied for third with Pebblebrook assistant Steve Schneiter. Host pro Roy Christensen finished fifth among the pros at 142.Low amateur honors went to Eddie Heinen, who finished at 141. Dick Peacock won the senior pro division with a 150 total.

Randy Davis and Phil Holmes tied for low net honors at 132.

Two golfers scored holes-in-one Sunday. Cascade pro Randy Anderson and amateur Keenan Raven both aced the 195-yard No. 2. Anderson also made a hole-in-one in Friday's pro-am.
