Two Salt Lake City men have been booked in the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of a series of armed robberies of convenience stores and service stations.

The police said the suspects may be responsible for 19 robberies, Lt. Marty Vuyk said.An additional charge of forgery of a check over $100 was also made against one of the suspects, 23. However this not directly related to the series of robberies, Vuyk said.

The other suspect is 22.

The arrests were made in connection with an armed robbery May 20 of a Maverick convenience store, 1700 South 300 West, and other robberies along the Wasatch Front.
