Adam Starr, a young saber-toothed tiger, is one of 55 "dinosaurs" singing at the premiere of "Dinosaur Opera" at South Kearns Elementary School on Thursday night. The costumes ranged from the toothy tiger to a not-so-terrible tyrannosaurus rex, and the post-Jurassic 7-year-olds behind the prehistoric outfits belted out original songs by teacher Betsy Howard. The performance was a paleontological delight for performers, parents and teachers as dinosaurs rapped and sang the "caveman" chorus and children learned that the long-extinct creatures lived long before people existed.
