General manager John Nash said Barkley was examined Thursday in Birmingham, Ala., by Dr. James Andrews, who has performed surgery on a number of prominent athletes needing similar treatment."The procedure will be performed in mid-June and will be followed by six to eight week of rehabilitation, which is expected to have Charles Barkley back at 100 percent," Nash said.
