1ST STAR PARTY OF 1990 IS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY

The Salt Lake Astronomical Society and the Hansen Planetarium have announced a schedule for this year's summer star parties.

Participants are invited to bring their own observing equipment or to look through telescopes the sponsors will provide.Knowledgeable members of the society and planetarium staff will be on hand to answer questions about buying telescopes and to help novice telescope owners assemble and operate their equipment.

The next star party is scheduled June 15 at the Little Mountain Observing Site. Other star party locations are the society's Stansbury Park Observatory Complex and the parking lot of the Harmon's Family Center, 980 E. Fort Union Blvd., in Midvale.

All star parties will begin at dusk and will be subject to suitable weather.
