Hans J. Skowronek, age 65, passed away June 8, 1990, at home in his sleep after a long illness.
He was born February 10, 1925 in Silesia, Germany to Erich and Emma Nabrotzky Skowronek. He was educated in Germany and served there in World War II. Married Sieglinde (Siggi) Klappenbach in Leipzig, January 4, 1947 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Preceded in death by his parents. He came to the America in 1952 and worked for Wonder Bakery until 1954. Was engineer and production manager at Gerstner Steel Company until 1961. Worked for State of Utah Highway Department as structural engineer until his early retirement in May 1986. He was a member of the LDS Church and a High Priest in the Sugarhouse Ward.He is survived by his wife; his sister, Rita Marach; four children, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Christine Kimball) Chambers; Reinhard; Ralph and his wife, Sheryl; Charlie and his wife, Joni Skowronek; ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew and Candice Kimball; Jason, Jeffrey, Jimmy, Angela, Michael, Chuck and Katie Skowronek, all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services Wednesday, June 13th, 12 Noon, Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South, where relatives and friends may call Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday the hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
