The scene was "fishy" enough to concern any police detective.
Called to the scene of a "suspicious" circumstance, officers found blood dripping from a trash bin and the overpowering smell of rotting flesh. Inside the bin were three bulging plastic bags.Detective Sgt. Ed Spann crawled into the bin expecting the worst. He opened one of the bags to find himself staring into a large eyeball - belonging to a carp.
Reeking but relieved, Spann said he returned to police headquarters, where he showered, changed into his jogging clothes with another twist on a "fish story."
