Joseph T. Dixon, Jr., died June 10, 1990, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, of natural causes.

Born June 18, 1930, in Salt Lake City, the son of Margaret McNair and Joseph Taylor Dixon, Sr. Married Ruth Mae Verde, January 13, 1950, in Yuma, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons, Thomas Dixon and Daniel McNair Dixon. Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, serving in the U.S. Navy; member, D.A.V. and the National Association Atomic Veterans (N.A.A.V.)Survived by a son, Joseph T. Dixon III, West Bountiful, Utah; daughter, Victoria L. Pence, Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren: Brandon Joseph Dixon, Ingrid Noel and Samantha Devin Rivers, and Sarah Ruth Pence; brother, Wilford McNair Dixon, Salt Lake City; sister, Doris Farrell, of Granger, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14th, 12 Noon, in the Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Wednesday evening, 7-8 pm, and on Thursday, one hour prior to services. He will be interred with his son, Daniel, in the Fort Douglas National Cemetery.
