S.L. MAN CHARGED IN SHOOTING AT PARTY

A Salt Lake man was charged Tuesday with shooting and critically injuring a man during a June 8 graduation party.

Gregory McGee, 24, was charged in 3rd Circuit Court with attempted criminal homicide. He was arrested without incident Saturday after police obtained a search warrant for an east-side residence. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail in connection with the shooting at the Redwood Shadows Apartments, 176 N. Redwood Road.Bail was set at $75,000, court documents state.

Salt Lake police believe the man is responsible for shooting Isileli Latu, 19, once in the back, after Latu and others apparently crashed a "peaceful" graduation party and began a fight.

Latu remained in critical condition Tuesday in the shock trauma unit of LDS Hospital, a spokesman said.
