A Medellin, Colombia, building shows the effects of a car bomb blast that killed four people, wounded 43 others and caused $1 million damage Thursday. The blast came hours after a crack police corps raided a Medellin apartment and killed John Jairo Arias Tascon, described as No. 5 in the Medellin cocaine cartel. The bombing broke a relative calm in Colombia since May 27 presidential elections won by Liberal Cesar Gaviria, who has pledged to continue the drug crackdown.
