the Davis County Energy Recovery District board has approved a $9.6 million budget for fiscal 1991.
The budget represents a $2.1 million increase over last year. Most of the increase is attributed to a new $1.5 million contribution to the district's bond redemption and construction fund. And interest payments on the $54 million bond are estimated to be $600,000 more in 1991 than in 1990.The district, which operates the Energy Recovery Facility and the adjacent landfill in Layton, raised tipping fees earlier this year from $35 a ton to $50 to offset lower-than-projected revenues from sales of steam to Hill Air Force Base.
Steam prices are based on natural-gas prices, which have decreased during the past few years.
