For the second time since May, an independent citizens golf committee has protested raises in Salt Lake golf course greens fees and what the committee calls "mismanagement" in city government. About 30 people walked from the ZCMI Center to the City-County Building Thursday carrying signs that said "Mayor illegally takes golfers' money"and "Palmer plays games with people's money." Mayor Palmer DePaulis said the group tries to raise similar issues about every six weeks. He said one of its major concerns comes from a discontinuance of a subsidized senior golf pass and the fact that senior citizens won't be able to use the new passes at two new golf courses under construction.
