Lois Nanette Altman, 72, died June 13, 1990 at her home in Milford, Utah after a gallant struggle with diabetes related illness.

Lois was born November 30, 1917 in Salt Lake City to Isadore and Cora Amter Altman. She became a partner with her father in Altmans Store in Milford and sole proprietor after his death in 1969. She was a member of Congregation Kol Ami in Salt Lake City, member Order of Easter Star, and had served on the Milford City Council and Milford Hospital Board.She is survived by two sisters, Maxine Babus, Long Island, N.Y.; Shirlee Ivers, Salt Lake City; cousin, Joel Shapiro and wife, Vivian, Salt Lake City; two nephews, Dr. Howard Babus and wife Jan, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Steven Babus and wife Teri, New Rochelle, N.Y. and their son, Lenard.

Graveside funeral services 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 15, B'Nai Israel Cemetery, 4th Ave and Q St. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Diabetes Assoc. or Milford Valley Hospital. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.
