Eddie Murphy's crime-stopper sequel "Another 48HRS." opened to strong but unspectacular business last weekend, taking in $19.5 million to claim the No. 1 spot at the box office.

"Another 48 HRS." brought in $4 million less than "Total Recall," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, did the previous weekend, according to the figures from Exhibitor Relations Co. In addition, "Total Recall," which fell to No. 2 this week, made $12,395 per screen in its debut; "Another 48HRS.," which critics said offered no improvement on the 1982 original, netted just $8,461 per screen.Here are the top movie ticket sales as tallied by Exhibitor Relations:

1. "ANOTHER 48HRS.," $19.5 million (first week).

2. "Total Recall," $15.1 million ($51.1 million, two weeks).

3. "Back to the Future, Part III," $7.7 million ($49.5 million, three weeks).

4. "Bird on a Wire," $4.8 million ($49.7 million, four weeks).

5. "Pretty Woman," $4.5 million ($133.3 million, 12 weeks).

6. "Cadillac Man," $1.8 million ($22.4 million, four weeks).

7. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," $1.6 million ($123.2 million, 11 weeks).

8. "Fire Birds," $1.2 million ($12.4 million, three weeks).

9. "The Hunt for Red October," $802,750 ($113.5 million, 15 weeks).

10. "Driving Miss Daisy," $642,840 ($102.7 million, 26 weeks).
