DEATH: JOHN FREDRICK MCCOLLOUGH

John Fredrick McCollough, Our beloved Dad, Grandpa and Friend died Friday, June 15, 1990 after a struggle with cancer.

Born October 6, 1912 in Abilene, Kansas to Fredrick Eugene and Mary Teresa McCollough. Married Wilma F. Kerns. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines and Japan. Moved to Idaho, then later moved to Salt Lake City where he married Helen Caroline (Stringham) Noel. He was owner of John's Meats and worked many years in the Macey's organization. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and traveling with Helen. He was very proud that they had visited all 50 States. He was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He enjoyed giving his time keeping the grounds looking nice. He was a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed participating in their events.

Survived by his brother Ed & Clara McCollough, Abilene Kansas; Daughters: Phyllis & Dave Walker, SLC, Jolene & Winston Cope, Boise, Idaho; Sons: E. Frank Noel & Joan Noel, Duane & Jeanne Noel, all of Mesa, Arizona; Carl & Patricia Noel, SLC, 19 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Helen and sister Eugena Burke. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon, Monday June 18 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 So. 2300 East. A Rosary service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday evening June 17 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Dr. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
