DEATH: JOSEPH GORDON NICHOLAS

Joseph Gordon Nicholas died June 15, 1990 in Sandy, Utah.

Born December 12, 1907, son of Jesse and Grace Brunker Nicholas. Married Doran Howard October 24, 1929. He was a rancher and farmer at Promontory, Utah for 50 years. High Priest, Murray 8th Ward. He and his wife served two missions for the LDS Church, one in Independence, Missouri and one in Columbia, South Carolina.

Survived by wife; three sons and four daughters, Joseph D., Stockton, Calif.; Howard J., San Antonio, Texas; Dale A., Sandy; Gene and Valora Pentz, Ogden; Sterling and Thera Huish, Mesa, Ariz.; Bill and Joyce Darrow, Taylorsville; Ralph and Janet Carter, Garland, Ut.; 39 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and sister, Grant B., Honeyville; Jesse, Corrinne; Wayne, Bear River City; Dorothy Holland, Tremonton.

Services Tuesday, 10 a.m., Murray 8th Ward Chapel, 160 East 4600 South. Friends may call MOnday, 7-9 p.m. Sandy Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, and Tuesday 9-9:45 a.m. at the ward. Interment, North Ogden Cemetery.
