DEATH: DORA WHITNEY

Dora Williamson Whitney, 78, passed away at her home June 16, 1990, in Parowan, Utah.

Born September 15, 1911, in Parowan, to Edwin W. and Jennivive Benson Williamson. Married Frank Dalton Whitney Sept. 27, 1937, in Parowan. Marriage later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died October 13, 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and the Senior Citizens. Kind and devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Loved to travel and spend time with her family.Survivors: Five children, Kent and Rosemary Whitney, Salt Lake City; Boyd and Mary Whitney, Cedar City; Clinton and Linda Whitney, Salt Lake City; Jennadean and Scott Holyoak, Parowan; Betty Sue and Herb Katz, West Jordan; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., in the Parowan 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Parowan. Burial, Parowan City Cemetery.
