Ace interviewer Larry King says Barbara Walters is slipping. "There's a non-real quality to her interviews," King says in an interview in Playboy magazine. "Kind of a, `Let's go sit on a rock. We'll take pictures together and I'll ask you about flowers' thing. Her strength is more who she gets than what she gets from them." What else doesn't King like about Walters? "I hear her lisp so I'm not a fair judge," he says. "When I hear a lisp, I lose contact. It's Elmer Fudd. And some of the questions are inane. I liked her better when she did news interviews." As for other interviewers and talk-show hosts, King rates Geraldo Rivera as "a good guy," says he's more impressed with Oprah Winfrey's acting skills and predicts Phil Donahue would be a huge success on CBS's morning news show.
